Social media has given a lot of us a platform to be heard by more people now than any other era. It also has allowed plenty of us to overvalue our own opinions.

Having an opinion is one thing, but voicing it all the time is another. Everything doesn’t need to be spoken on. Most times people are giving their opinons on topics that they are poorly informed on.

Speaking on issues or about people you know nothing about leaves you open for critique as well. Sometimes it’s best to just shut up and keep your thoughts to yourself.

Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.
